We have multiple acuity levels and units to address the unique needs of each resident requiring specialized behavioral care. Rio Hollywood is our medium acuity unit for residents who have a history of psychiatric illness or behavioral disorders that are not as a result of a neurological condition.. Residents on this unit may have a history of self harm, psychotic symptoms, depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder, or may also have significant ineffective coping strategies related to their medical conditions.
Apache is our medium acuity global cognitive impairment unit where we provide close monitoring, daily activities, and onsite clinician evaluation and interventions for residents with behavioral challenges occurring as a result of an underlying neurological condition. These conditions can include Dementia, Traumatic Brain Injury, Huntington’s Chorea, MS, ALS, and Parkinson’s Disease.
