High Acuity Behavior Care

Sunset is our high acuity unit for residents with a history of psychiatric or medical conditions that have resulted in behavior that can include physical aggression towards others or highly ineffective coping mechanisms requiring intensive staff supervision.

Care plans and interdisciplinary team meetings are held regularly.
Frequent evaluations for step downs are based on meetings.
Underlying psychiatric disorders can include Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury and others.
Outside appointments are accommodated with transportation and staff accompaniment.

Dementia Care

At our facility, we offer specialized care in the Paradise Island unit for residents with dementia. Our comprehensive services include assistance with activities of daily living (ADL), as well as the implementation of non-pharmaceutical interventions tailored to each individual’s needs. Our dedicated team of trained professionals strives to create a supportive and stimulating environment that promotes the well-being and quality of life of our residents with dementia.

Non-Behavioral Health

Our facility includes a dedicated non-behavioral unit, providing a welcoming environment for residents without challenging behaviors. Our goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment that meets the unique needs of these residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Our non-behavioral unit offers a wide range of services to support residents’ needs, including 24-hour nursing care, medication management, assistance with activities of daily living, and therapeutic interventions. We also offer a variety of recreational activities and social events to keep residents engaged and connected with others.

We also work closely with families and caregivers to provide education and support, helping them to better understand and manage the needs of their loved ones. Our non-behavioral unit is designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment that promotes the highest level of care and quality of life for our residents.

Acuity Behavior Care

We offer specialized care for residents with mild to severe behavioral concerns including having a history of self injurious or aggressive behavior”. We have multiple acuity levels and units to address the unique needs of each resident requiring specialized behavioral care. Each unit provides a safe and structured environment with staff who are trained to manage ineffective and challenging behaviors.

Our program includes individualized treatment plans, behavior modification techniques, and a range of therapeutic interventions to address the underlying causes of harmful behaviors. We also work closely with families and caregivers to provide education and support, helping them to better understand the behaviors of their loved ones.

Behavioral Health Counseling

Our Behavioral Health Counseling program provides treatment for a wide range of mental health conditions, including anxiety, OCD, depression, substance abuse, BPD, ADHD, self-harm, and more. Our staff is committed to creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment that promotes healing and recovery.

Second Medium Acuity Behavioral Health

Rio Hollywood is our medium acuity unit for residents who have a history of psychiatric illness or behavioral disorders that are not as a result of a neurological condition.. Residents on this unit may have a history of self harm, psychotic symptoms, depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder, or may also have significant ineffective coping strategies related to their medical conditions.

Medium Acuity Behavior Care

Apache is our medium acuity global cognitive impairment unit where we provide close monitoring, daily activities, and onsite clinician evaluation and interventions for residents with behavioral challenges occurring as a result of an underlying neurological condition. These conditions can include Dementia, Traumatic Brain Injury, Huntington’s Chorea, MS, ALS, and Parkinson’s Disease.

Advanced Rehabilitation

Our Advanced Rehabilitation program provides state-of-the-art rehabilitation services, provided by a professional team of therapists. We understand the importance of rehabilitation in promoting recovery and independence, and our staff is committed to providing the highest level of care.

We offer a range of rehabilitation services, including physical, occupational, and speech therapy. Our therapists work closely with residents to develop personalized treatment plans that address their specific needs and goals.

We use advanced rehabilitation equipment and techniques, including ultrasound therapy, electrical stimulation, and manual therapy, to provide the most effective treatment possible. Our goal is to help residents regain strength, mobility, and independence, improving their quality of life and overall well-being.

We work closely with residents and their families to ensure that they receive the care and support they need to achieve their optimal level of function and independence.

Non-Pharmaceutical Intervention

Our Non-Pharmaceutical Intervention program provides non-medication health measures to prevent and control disease transmission to others. We understand the importance of infection control, and our staff is trained to implement a range of measures to reduce the spread of infectious diseases.

Our program includes hygiene protocols, social distancing measures, environmental cleaning and disinfection, and personal protective equipment use. We also provide education and support to residents and their families to help them better understand the importance of infection control.

Resident Monitoring

Our Resident Monitoring program provides consistent monitoring and assessments of residents, with a focus on facilitating “step-down” to less acute units. Our staff is trained to recognize changes in residents’ conditions and provide appropriate interventions to ensure their safety and well-being.

We use a variety of monitoring tools, including physical assessments, vital sign monitoring, and electronic medical records, to track residents’ progress and identify any changes in their health status. Our goal is to provide proactive care that supports residents’ independence and quality of life.

Dementia Care

Our Dementia Care program provides personalized care for residents suffering from all stages of Alzheimer’s, Lewy Body Dementia, Vascular Dementia, and other forms of dementia. Our staff is trained to provide compassionate care and support to residents and their families, with a focus on maintaining independence and quality of life.

We offer a range of services to support residents with dementia, including specialized activities and therapies, medication management, and assistance with activities of daily living. Our staff is trained to recognize and respond to the unique needs of residents with dementia, providing a safe and supportive environment that promotes well-being and dignity.

Long-Term Care

At our long-term care facility, we provide exemplary care to our residents in a comfortable and supportive environment. Our team of skilled professionals are committed to meeting the individual needs of each resident and creating a personalized care plan that promotes physical, emotional, and social well-being.
